The smallest of the villages, Indian Springs has only 2,200 homes and over 6,000 residents. It is names after the Indian artifacts from the Bidai tribe of the Atakapan Indians that were discovered in the area 1984.
Indian Springs is located in the south area of The Woodlands, just south of Woodlands Parkway, and west of Gosling. Known for it’s secluded feel and custom homes, Indian Springs is also the only village in The Woodlands with actual hills.
John Cooper School, a private college preparatory academy (K-12 grades) is located in Indian Springs and the Interfaith Child Development Center (one of the largest pre-school/child care centers) are schools located in Indian Springs. Public schools that service this village are Galatas elementary (K-4) or Coulson Tough Elementary (K-6 grades), Mitchell Intermediate (5 & 6 grades), McCullough Junior High (7 & 8 grades) and The Woodlands Ninth Grade Campus and The Woodlands High School.
The Indian Springs Village Association (ISVA) meets on the second Tuesday of each month except in July at 7:00 PM at the
Community Associations Building of the Woodlands. All residents of the village are welcome to attend. The nine Woodlands villages are Grogan’s Mill Village, Panthers Creek Village, Cochran’s Crossing Village, Indian Springs Village, Alden Bridge Village, College Park Village, Sterling Ridge Village, Creekside Park Village, Carlton Woods Village.

About Indian Springs, The Woodlands
The Village of Indian Springs was opened in 1984 and named after the Bidai Indians, whose artifacts were found during development.
Indian Springs is the second “landlocked” village as other Woodlands villages surround it on all sides.
Indian Springs is also the predominant point of access for the George Mitchell Nature Preserve, which sits between the southern border of the village and the village of Creekside Park.
Recreation at Indian Springs, The Woodlands
Indian Springs is home to eight parks with various amenities.
There are two parks with public pools in Indian Springs: Falconwing and Forestgate Park.
The pool at Falconwing Park is the “Frog” Pool while Forestgate Park features the Octopus slide on the kid’s side and a winding slide on the “adult” side.
Forestgate also features a “wheel friendly” area for the kids for skateboarding/bmx fun, lighted basketball and tennis courts, a multi-purpose field, a playground, picnic tables and BBQ pits to complete the picnic.
Shopping at Indian Springs, The Woodlands
The Village of Indian Springs Shopping center is anchored by an HEB Supermarket, and hosts a Double Dave’s Pizza, Rico’s Grill, Sundale Donuts, Sakekawa Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, and Massage Envy among other shops and restaurants.
Across the street is the Sterling Ridge shopping center with additional stores and restaurants.
Furthermore, going across the street opposite Kuykendahl Drive there is a Trader Joes, Petco, Ace Hardware, Walgreens, Via Emilia Italian Restaurant, Starbucks and more.
Schools at Indian Springs, The Woodlands
Surprisingly, there are no public schools located in the Village of Indian Springs, however there is one private school; John Cooper School.

Indian Springs is markedly smaller than some of the other villages with only 2,254 single-family homes occupying the area.
