North Shore is a community in east side of Harris County, Texas with a small portion inside the city of Houston, Texas. The area includes subdivisions such as Songwood, Holiday Forest, Wood Bayou, Cimarron, Home Owned Estates, Woodland Acres, Hidden Forest, Pine Trails, Woodforest, Woodforest North, New Forest, and New Forest West, as well as newer neighborhoods near Highway 90 and Beltway 8 North Sam Houston Parkway. Northshore is a neighborhood in Houston, Texas with a population of 43,592. Northshore is in Harris County. The balance of the area is in Houston ISD. Thisheavily wooded area includes a variety of home styles and prices. In the 1980s, the Brown Foundation donated a large tract of land that the new Crosby Freeway (Highway 90) will pass through. In addition, the land is just beginning to be developed into Herman Brown Park, a major regional facility.
